Please join us on Tuesday, April 5th, in UC 375 for NKU’s annual Take Back the Night: Celebrating the Strength of Survivors. Take Back the Night provides an opportunity for our campus community to show support for survivors while raising awareness of issues of interpersonal violence. The event will feature keynote speaker, Kalimah Johnson, of the Sasha Center in Detroit. A resource fair and light refreshments will be available at 4pm followed by the program starting at 5:30pm. The event will end with a candlelit march across campus.

Because of you, Norse Violence Prevention Center has provided 15 self-care kits to students who have used our services over the past year. This year, we aim to take our services one step further by raising $1,500 to create “sense of home” kits for our students.
These kits will offer students who use our services items to make their dorms feel more like home, so they have a safe, relaxing space to return to after classes. Our mission is to help our students feel comfortable at NKU, so they stay on track toward graduation.
Help us reach our goal by visiting our new project page and making your best gift today. THANK YOU!
Thank you for supporting NVP’s Impact NKU campaign and helping us reach our goal of raising $2,000 for survivor self-care kits.
You can continue to support NVP by attending our events like our upcoming Self-Care During the Holidays event on Nov. 12th at 2 pm. You can also share information about NVP’s confidential advocacy services for students.
Also, be sure to follow us on social media!
We have met our goal! Thanks to you, we have raised $2,000 which will be used to purchase self-care kits for 80 student survivors of interpersonal violence. We are so appreciative of your support and the impact it will have on our students.
Please continue to share our campaign and spread the message about Norse Violence Prevention Center’s services on campus.
A quote from NVP Student Ambassador, Savannah Slaby:
“I’m so excited to work with such a great group of people who are all so passionate about violence prevention! Can’t wait to help and educate people on NKU’s campus!”
Thanks to you, we have raised $615 to purchase self-care kits for student survivors of interpersonal violence. All donations received so far and up to the first $1,000 will be matched dollar for dollar by a generous gift from NKU alumna, Mary E. Talbott. That means we only need $385 more in individual donations to meet our $2,000 goal!
You can continue to support NVP in reaching our goal by sharing this campaign with others. Any donation amount is appreciated and will significantly impact our initiative to purchase self-care kits for survivors. Sharing this campaign has the added benefit of increasing awareness of NVP’s services on campus.
We appreciate your support of NVP and student survivors!
