Who We Are
Norse Violence Prevention Center is an office located on NKU's campus that provides free and confidential advocacy to students, staff and faculty who have been affected by any form of interpersonal violence. NVP also offers prevention programming across campus: in 2020-21, we hosted 12 campus events and facilitated 91 workshops for students, faculty and staff.
What We Want To Do
The goal of this project is to create a "Sense of Home" for the students who utilize our services. We want to provide our students with items to make their dorms and apartments feel cozy and safe. These kits could include items such as:
Why Are We Doing This?
Moving away from home is hard for students. It can be especially difficult when those students have experienced any form of violence. We want to provide students with kits that help them create a safe, relaxing space in their new home away from home. By providing these kits, students who visit NVP could feel more comfortable in their spaces at NKU and stay on track toward graduation.

How Can You Help?
