Who We Are
Norse Violence Prevention Center is an office on Northern Kentucky University's campus that provides free, confidential advocacy to students who have experienced interpersonal violence.
What We Want To Do
The goal of this project is to raise money that will be used to build self-care kits that survivors of interpersonal violence can use when they go to court or conduct board hearings. These kits will include:
- fidget toys
- words of affirmation
- stress balls
- other items that can be used as a source of comfort for our survivors.
Why Are We Doing This?
Going to court or conduct board hearings can be extremely triggering for survivors. Self-care kits will aid in student survivors' ability to take care of themselves during a difficult process.
Testimonials from NVP Ambassadors
"I am super excited to be an ambassador this year! I can't wait to educate our Norse community on male sexual assault and help those who need it!" - Quinn James
"I am so excited to be a part of NVP and spread resources and awareness across my campus community. Norse Up!" - Yasmeen Harrison
How Can You Help?
Any amount of financial donation will help us purchase the tote bags and supplies that will go in the bags. Thanks to NKU alumna Mary E. Talbott, all gifts will be matched up to $1,000! These kits can truly help a survivor during a difficult time. We hope you will support this project by making a donation today!
