We are in the third week of our project, and thanks to you, we have raised $4,388 that will support RefugeeConnect’s Community Building Events!
As we work toward our push goal of $6,000 so we can help RefugeeConnect provide more opportunities to our local refugee community, we are also learning so much about our future careers. One of our classmates shared the below:
"This course has taught me a lot about fundraising for a non-profit organization. It taught me how to start and grow a campaign. I learned what was needed to do in order to have a successful campaign and ways to raise money for it. I learned how to get my own community's support for my cause."

Thank you so much for helping us meet our match of $2,000 in only one week! Thanks to you and the Manuel D. and Rhonda Mayerson Foundation, our class will be able to support RefugeeConnect’s Community Building Events with $4,000.
Since we still have 22 days left in our project, we are aiming to reach a push goal of $6,000. If our class can achieve this goal by raising an additional $2,000, we can support local refugee families in so many more ways!

sponsors 11 youth to participate in the Fall Festival at Parky’s Farm, exposing youth to a local educational farm during RefugeeConnect’s Fall Community Buildling event.
Brings summer educational learning to school aged refugees through the Louisville Bontanical Garden and Zoo’s traveling zoo for the World Refugee Day event
Sponsors bus transportation for 15 families, removing transportation barriers to attend Community Building events
Purchases bilingual educational books for 66 school aged youth for the World Refugee Day event, helping to curb summer learning loss while building home libraries.
