Health Navigators for Refugees

*All gifts will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $1,000, thanks to the Greater Cincinnati Foundation!*

Who We Are & What We Are Doing

We are students of Northern Kentucky University’s Bachelor’s of Social Work Program seeking to raise $3,000 for RefugeeConnect's Health Navigators program. We have spent the last few weeks learning about this incredible organization and want to further their mission of connecting refugees with resources to rebuild their lives as United States citizens.

What is the Health Navigators Program?

Health Navigators are former refugees themselves who advocate for families facing challenges accessing and navigating the US healthcare system. Every donation connects families in our area with resources to help them thrive as United States citizens, ensuring their healthcare needs are met.

Why We Care (and You Should, too)

Refugees are people who were forced to flee their homeland due to persecution, war, and other unsafe conditions. Entering a new country unexpectedly where you may or may not know the language can be scary, especially when navigating a complex healthcare system. RefugeeConnect's model of integrating refugees is instrumental in their transition into the Northern Kentucky community. By supporting our project, you help your fellow community members. The contributions you make, big or small, will create a positive impact here in the region.

Thanks to a generous donation by the Greater Cincinnati Foundation, all gifts will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $1,000.

We truly appreciate the time you have taken to learn about our project, and we thank you for any support you are willing to give.
