Thank you for your support last year – because of you, the 2021 SWK 405 classes were able to provide $7,600 to RefugeeConnect and help them sustain the Community Navigators program.
This semester, a new set of SWK 405 classes are on a mission to see refugees in our community succeed and live happy, healthy lives. The new project is raising funds to support RefugeeConnect’s Health Navigators program, which ensures refugees’ healthcare needs are met in a new system they may not understand.
Will you help a new set of Social Work students in their mission to support refugees in our region? Every donation will be used to provide resources to families in our community, helping them establish their new lives. Visit our new project.
THANK YOU!
It has been so exciting to see our project's progress – we surpassed our goal in just over one week! Because of this overwhelming support, our class has decided to announce a push-goal of $5,000.
Through this project, we have learned so much about RefugeeConnect and philanthropy. Read below to find out what one of our classmates has learned about fundraising:
"The COVID-19 pandemic has affected social services due to restrictions. There are greater demands for services such as housing and food due to loss of employment. With RefugeeConnect, the pandemic has called for innovative fundraising strategies to bring in funds since they cannot do in-person events. We have relied heavily on social media and technology to gather funds to reach our donor targets." – SWK 405 Student
Will you share our project and help us reach our push-goal of $5,000?
Wow! Our campaign just went live this morning, and we already met our $500 match. Thank you to Megan and Chris Cole for sponsoring this match, and thank you to everyone who has donated so far!
By raising $1,000, our project can fund a Community Navigator for two months. This Community Navigator will support up to 15 refugee families in the Northern Kentucky area and make such a big difference in their lives.
Again, thank you for supporting our project.
Provides intensive individualized support to 2 families that enable them to thrive.
