Older adults are the fastest-growing segment of the population both in the United States and around the world. As social work educators and gerontology leaders, we aim to prepare our NKU social work students for future professional careers that will allow them to enhance the health and well-being of the aging population and their families.
Rising Hope for Aging gives us an opportunity to respond to the needs of residents of Golden Tower, owned and managed by the Housing Authority of Covington, Kentucky. Through this project, our students will work with local aging service programs and resources to learn new approaches to service delivery, raise awareness about the breadth of geriatric social work practice and increase the numbers of NKU social work students engaging in age-related support services in the Northern Kentucky area.

Your gift of $15 could help residents learn healthy living options and social activities and receive a certificate of participation.
Residents may engage in social and recreational activities, such as Bingo, outings, games, dance, music, movies and more.
Your gift of $80 will help provide enrichment activities to allow residents to learn computer skills, money saving ideas, and more.
A gift of $100 could help residents cope with social and emotional challenges through a Peer Support Group.
