Building Homes and Communities

Who are we?

We are the NKU Habitat For Humanity Student Chapter and our mission is to serve others by building homes and better communities. We work hard here at NKU to build better lives for others because we believe that everyone, everywhere should have a healthy and affordable place to call home.  We invite you to join us in this mission by participating in our Impact project.  Any amount of support makes a huge difference!

Why are we fundraising?

Safe and affordable housing should be everyone’s right. We want to help make that happen but being a student organization, we have limited funds and count on donations from supporters like you to make this happen.  We need your help to raise funds to build an NKU Habitat house in our region and fund scholarships for our Chapter members to participate in our first ever Habitat Global Village mission to Central America in January of 2019. Every dollar we raise through YOUR SUPPORT (up to $3,000) will be matched by a State Farm Matching Grant but we must raise a minimum of $2,000 to qualify for the Grant.  

Why is this important?

It’s no secret that participating in student organizations and service opportunities in college can make a huge difference in our education and experience.  It helps us to learn more about our world, deepen our compassion, become more confident, and develop our leadership skills.  These projects will do all this and more for our chapter, while allowing us to tackle one of the world’s biggest challenges to date.
