Care Beyond Arrival: Support Refugee Health Navigation

We are social work students, passionate about supporting organizations that create real, lasting change. This semester, our class has partnered with RefugeeConnect, a nonprofit organization serving the Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky region.

RefugeeConnect supports individuals and families as they rebuild their lives in their new country. One of their most impactful initiatives is the Health Navigators Program. Through this program, trusted cultural leaders from refugee communities are trained and certified as Community Health Workers. They help families understand and navigate the complex U.S. healthcare system, connect them with insurance, schedule medical appointments, and advocate for culturally responsive and trauma-informed care. In its first year alone, the program helped more than 100 individuals access health insurance, primary care, specialized treatment, and other essential services.

Our goal is to raise $4,550 to support the Health Navigators Program at RefugeeConnect. Your donation will help provide direct support to families in need of help navigating the healthcare system in our region. These funds help ensure that refugee families can access healthcare safely, confidently, and with dignity. We care deeply about this cause because healthcare is not just about treating illness—it is about stability, safety, and the ability to build a healthy future. When people have access to healthcare, children can grow, parents can work, and families can truly thrive.

A donation of any size helps connect refugee families to the care and resources they deserve. Together, we can help create a community where everyone has the opportunity to live a healthy and hopeful life.

Thank you for your generosity and support!
