GOOOAAALLL!!!! GHOOOSSSTTTSS???!!! (And, stretch goals?)
Hi all;
First off, you all rock! Within the last 24 hours, not only did we hit our goal of 2K (which funded two nights of filming, food for the students on those two nights, and a few additional hours for post-shoot interviews), but we SURPASSED the goal by over $250. And all of that keeps going back to paying students for additional work on this project. Thank you (x25) to all of you who donated and shared. So, what’s next?
Well, we have four days left. We have a stretch goal of $2500. That’s only $242 left to go, or $60 a day on average. Not too bad at all! That additional money could be used for:
- Additional student hours to help organize footage (ya’ll…we have hours. HOURS. Of footage and audio).
- Additional student hours to film more interviews than originally planned.
- Additional student hours to pay an illustrator for historical animations (similar to what we’ve done in other documentaries).
- Close Captioning services (needed for KET, CET, and other networks – usually averages about $200-250).
So, we know you’ve given us your time and donations already, and we aren’t asking for you to give us more money! But, if you can help us make one final share/push for these last few days, it would be incredible.
---
Okay, so now the other part of my subject line: the paranormal! So, last night was the wrap on our second day of shooting. I was not able to be present, but I was in touch regularly with Dr. Brian Hackett, and my crew, and I was told, “it’s getting active.” There is video of a chandelier moving (with no wind/air current), I’ve been told there were names given, and audio is being analyzed. On day one, several crew members reported humming. But the best thing I woke up to today was Mike Palmer, the lead investigator from PINK, sending me the message below (with the attached photo). I wanted to share it with you all first before it is made public at some point in the next few days! Depending on the device you are viewing this on, it may show up better – when I looked at it on my phone (which has great contrast and color reproduction) earlier, my jaw dropped.
Thanks, all!
John

This was taken inside General Taylor's bedroom, you'll see Amanda, now look at the man near her right elbow. You can see a head, eyes, nose, and perhaps a necktie? This is from a series of shots so there are several for reference.
I think the definition is too sharp for it to be paredolia. Let me know what you think!
Quarter of the way there (Donor Only Update)!
$5
Our Bestie
You’re the best. You really are, and if we were friends, we might even call you one of OUR BESTIES. I mean, we can’t offer you anything more than EXCLUSIVE/EARLY BEHIND THE SCENES MATERIAL, BONUS UPDATES AND MATERIAL ONLINE, AND TO BE ONE OF THE FIRST TO KNOW ABOUT UPDATES ON THE PROJECT. But that still doesn’t mean we don’t appreciate you any less. Thanks for making this project possible!
$10
Immortal Funder
Hey. We see you. And just like those $5 contributors, you are amazing. But you know what? That extra $5 you just chipped in gets you exclusive/early access to not only that stuff from the $5 tier, but also your name in the credits as a special thank you. That means you’ll be immortalized in video…some would even say that makes you an IMMORTAL FUNDER. And some day, when someone is searching for your ghost in a house, they will be able to say, “it’s Joe Johnson's ghost … you know, that guy who contributed to that awesome documentary?”
$18
Friend of NorseMedia
Whoa whoa whoa. Who tossed this odd number in here? Well, that would be NorseMedia. Because $18 an hour is our starting pay for our student workers, and by chipping in $18, you just helped pay for not only a student’s rent, gas, and food, but you also helped contribute to their education. And we think that's pretty cool. And so, that makes you a FRIEND OF NORSEMEDIA, which is exactly what you are going to be known as forever in the credits of our documentary! And, you get access to that early/exclusive access content.
$50
Boo-tiful Person
You are one BOO-TIFUL PERSON for helping make this project possible. And because of that, we want to give you that pun-ny name in the credits. Cool! But, you also get some other things too: 1). Exclusive/early access to the bonus materials and updates from the other tiers below this level. 2). An invitation to a pre-screening of the film on campus!
$100
Associate Producer
Now you’re opening up that wallet even more, and really making a project happen. You’re paying for multiple student hours, you’re helping us with equipment, etc. And that makes you an ASSOCIATE PRODUCER. For that you receive: 1). Associate Producer Credit 2). An invitation to a pre-screening of the film on campus. 3). A tour of the historic district around the Taylor Mansion conducted by award winning preservationist, Scott Clark 4). Exclusive/early access to behind the scenes content and bonus material.
$250
Producer
Oh…wow. You just paid for almost 14 hours of student work. They are so, so very thankful, and we want to say thank you for being an amazing PRODUCER on this project. And even better? You don’t have to even do all the heavy lifting that our student producers are doing on this. You receive: 1). Producer Credit 2). Business mention in the credits (if you own a business) 3). Two tickets to a private screening at the mansion. 4). A tour of the historic district around the Taylor Mansion conducted by award winning preservationist, Scott Clark. 5). A personal invitation to join PINK on a paranormal investigation in summer 2026! (exact date and location TBD)
$500
Co-Executive Producer
Wait. So, you just straight up donated $500 to this project, out of the kindness of your heart? Did you…did you know that you just paid for 1/4th of our initial asking budget?! Holy cow. Way to be amazing as a CO-EXECUTIVE PRODUCER! You paid for two days of work for multiple students. Do you know how much of an impact you just made on them? For that, you receive: 1). Co-Executive Producer Credit 2). Business Logo in the Credits 3). Four tickets to a private screening of the final documentary at the mansion. 4) A hardhat behind the scenes tour, conducted by award winning preservationist Scott Clark, of the Taylor Mansion for you and three of your friends. 5). 5). A personal invitation to join PINK on a paranormal investigation in summer 2026! (exact date and location TBD)
$1,000
Executive Producer
You are Ebenezer Scrooge on Christmas Morning (except, you know, without that pesky backstory of not being nice). You have changed the world – or at least, changed the world of our production. You funded, single handedly, 50 (fifty!) percent of our initial production. You covered an entire night (and then some) of student hours, music, equipment rental, etc. We’re not only going to give you allllllll the things listed below (well, I mean, you just get EXECUTIVE PRODUCER credit, but then again, you also did contribute a thousand dollars, so we can also make you a BOO-TIFUL PERSON too if you wish). In addition to the tiers listed below this (exclusive content, invitation to a private screening at the mansion, etc), you also receive: A hardhat behind the scenes tour, conducted by award winning preservationist, Scott Clark of the Taylor Mansion followed by a wine tasting for you and nine of your friends!
