As the NKU Dance Team, we take pride in being part of NKU Athletics and our university community. Our primary mission is to execute a school spirit program that supports athletics teams, entertains, and promotes our university. We work countless hours all year round to support other athletic teams while also contributing to our surrounding community.
Each year, our team travels to Wisconsin to attend the Universal Dance Association (UDA) Camp. This year we won a gameday superior award, spirit camp superior award, and the collegiate recognition award for the first time in program history! We also compete at the UDA National Collegiate Dance Competition at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida.
Not only do represent the Norse at athletic events and national competitions, we participate in many community events. We make appearances at the Buddy Walk for Down Syndrome, the DAV 5k for Disabled Veterans, and host many youth camps throughout our season.
Outside of athletics, our team takes pride in their academics and being involved around campus. Many of our athletes are involved in organizations such as Greek Life, NKU Honors College and have jobs on campus.
Your support can help provide much needed relief to our team in so many ways. Our team members spend $450 to travel to UDA camp each summer, textbooks can $500 or more a semester, and team gear is about $200. Your support can help our athletes cover these costs.
Thank you for giving! You are helping our team travel and obtain the necessities for us to be successful throughout our season. NORSE UP!
