Support our Championship Team!

We are ready for the 2023-24 NKU Softball season!

During the 2022-23 season, our team earned our first Horizon League Championship win and competed in the NCAA Division I tournament for the first time since NKU became eligible in 2017. We aren't stopping there and have new goals for the 2023-24 season that we hope YOU will help us reach! 

When you make a gift to NKU Softball, you will help our program purchase necessary resources such as new uniforms, and members of our team will have access to scholarships, making our educations easier to afford. 

Along with our championship season last year, we had many other highlights and earned several awards: 

• Our team recorded our first win against a Power Five program in Norse history against Michigan State on February 12, 2023. 
• Maddie Lacer was named to the Horizon League All-League First Team and was the first NKU player to be named Horizon League Defensive Player of the Year since we joined the conference.
• We had two other teammates named to the Horizon League All-League First Team, Lauryn Hicks and Ella LeMonier. 
• Jena Rhoads and Brielle DiMemmo were both named to the Horizon League All-Freshman Team. Jena was also named to the Horizon League All-League Second Team. 
• Our coach, Kathryn Gleason, was named the Horizon League's Coach of the Year.
• Our team had a cumulative GPA of 3.63, the highest GPA posted by a softball program in the Horizon League and the 27th best in NCAA Division I. 
• Fifteen of our teammates were named to the Horizon League Academic Honor Roll for both the fall and spring semesters and seventeen of our team members earned National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-America Scholar Athletes honors.  

Our continued success is only possible through your support! With you, we can focus our energy on being champions in the game and scholars in the classroom, instead of funding our program and classes. Thank you for believing in our team!
