Support the Norse Baseball Team for the 2023-24 Season!

The 2023-24 Baseball season is upon us!

Last year, our team achieved amazing things together, and we are calling upon our community to support us as we strive to reach our goals once again. When our team members are equipped with scholarships and the tools necessary for success, worrying about how to pay tuition does not get in the way of focusing on the game or class. A gift to NKU Baseball will provide our team with these resources so we can focus on what matters: reaching our goals.

During our historic 2022-23 season, we achieved an NKU Baseball program record with 30 wins - the most victories our team has had since becoming NCAA Division I. Our teammates were recognized within the Horizon League and nationally, set records and had phenomenal experiences:

  • Noah Fisher was named Horizon League Conference Player of the Year, was selected for the Horizon League All-League First Team, the ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division I All-Midwest Region First Team and was a semi-finalist for the Brooks Wallace Award Watch List. Noah also broke the NKU single-season record in walks with 53 total and ranks second in NKU history in single-season runs scored (66) and in home runs (19). Over the summer, Noah played professionally for the Gateway Grizzlies and the Staten Island Ferryhawks.
  • Liam McFadden-Ackman was named to the Horizon League All-League Second Team and was selected for the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League 2023 All-Star Game. Liam also ended the season ranking third in NKU history for single-season runs batted in with 69.
  • John Odom, Colton Kucera and Clay Brock were named to the Horizon League All-League First Team, totaling four teammates selected.
  • Treyvin Moss, Kaden Echeman and Manny Vorhees were named to the Horizon League All-League Second Team, totaling four teammates selected.
  • Nick Wimmers played professionally for the Florence Y'alls during the summer season.
  • Jake Paulick was selected for the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League 2023 All-Star Game, totaling two members of our team selected.
  • Griffin Doersching played professionally for the Fort Wayne TinCaps, a minor league team under the San Diego Padres, during the summer season.

Success in the classroom is just as important as accomplishments on the field. Our team earned a cumulative 3.48 GPA during the 2022-23 academic year and was recognized with the 2023 American Baseball Coaches (ABCA) Team Academic Excellence award. Ten teammates were also named to the 2022 Horizon League Fall Academic Honor Roll and eleven teammates to the 2023 Horizon League Spring Academic Honor Roll, an achievement that is earned with a GPA of 3.20 or higher.

Our team accomplishes great things through perseverance, commitment, teamwork and dedication to our goals. With your support, we can remain focused on those goals and keep achieving our athletic and academic dreams. Please make a gift to NKU Baseball today!
