The Black Alumni Council is back, raising money to start a scholarship for future alumni! We raised $8,200 toward our goal of $25,000 last year. We need your help to get us over the hump and fully fund our scholarship.
NKU scholarships cover many expenses— from school supplies and textbooks to meal plans and credit hours. Students can stress less about money and focus on their college experience with your support.

We can improve retention and graduation rates for students with help from those most familiar with the challenges of being a college student... YOU, alumni, family and friends.
Donations of any size will make an impact. While this project's goal is $5,500, raising the remaining balance towards our $25,000 will allow us to award scholarships sooner.
The Black Alumni Council (BAC) began in 2011 as an idea amongst friends to give back and reunite at NKU homecoming celebrations. Through developing relationships with Black faculty and staff and student organizations, hosting a variety of activities and finding ways to support alumni, this group became an official NKU Alumni Council in 2015.
BAC collaborates with various departments on campus to host events that have restored engagement from the once-lost alumni demographic. Events include homecoming activities, annual BBQs, happy hours, career chats and more.
We also serve as a valuable resource for our current Black students, supporting programs such as NKU ROCKS, AASI Alternative Spring Break, move-in day and professional development opportunities. This scholarship will allow us to increase our level of assistance to NKU students through financial support for their educational journey.

Your donation of $25 could cover the costs of school supplies which may include paper, folders, pencils, flash drives, etc.
Your donation of $50 could cover the graduation fee for a graduating student.
Your donation of $261 could pay for a parking pass for a student for the full academic year.
Your donation of $345 could purchase a Retail 20 Meal Plan for a student. This particular plan provides 20 meal swipes plus $200 Flex.
Your donation of $500 could cover one credit hour for a student.
Your gift of $1000 could cover two credit hours for a student.
