Thanks to your generous support of our past FLAIS crowdfunding campaigns, more than 100 World Language and Literatures students have received scholarships to study abroad. FLAIS is entirely donor-funded, and this year, we aim to raise $1,750 so more students can have life-changing opportunities like the ones you have given them in the past.

I am so grateful for the support I received from The Foreign Language Award for International Study scholarship, which helped make this journey possible. It allowed me to form deep and lifelong connections, see more of the world, experience new cultures and ways of life, and gain a deeper understanding of the German language more authentically than any textbook ever could provide.

Wow! As study abroad returns in 2022, we are so excited about the enthusiasm that has been shown toward supporting our World Language and Literatures students. With one week left, we are so close to our push-goal of $7,000.

There is something very intense and eye opening when you travel alone and are forced to make connections without anyone else to fall back on. I was the only student from NKU who attended Nanzan that semester, so I was completely and utterly alone. At times that could be very hard for me, but it mostly allowed me to grow as my own person and force me out of my comfort zone to make the amazing friends that I did and have the wonderful experience that I had. Not only will your $50 donation get you a mention in the program for our annual Senior Awards Banquet in spring, but it could also buy a roundtrip train ticket from Caen to Paris or about two nights in a hostel in Berlin.
Not only will your $100 donation get you a mention in the program for our annual Senior Awards Banquet in spring, but it could cover over half the cost of a passport to study in Europe or Japan.
Not only will your $250 donation get you a mention in the program for our annual Senior Awards Banquet in spring, but it could cover the average costs of local transportation, books and supplies in León, Spain or passport and visa to study in Quito, Ecuador.
Not only will your $500 donation get you a mention in the program for our annual Senior Awards Banquet in spring, but it could also cover most of the costs for local transportation during a semester a Nanzan University in Japan or personal expenses during a summer program in Munich, Germany.
