Thanks to your generous support of our past FLAIS crowdfunding campaigns, more than 100 World Language and Literatures students have received scholarships to study abroad. FLAIS is entirely donor-funded, and this year, we aim to raise $1,750 so more students can have life-changing opportunities like the ones you have given them in the past.
Please help us reach our goal by visiting our new project page and making a gift today! With your help, we can continue providing opportunities to students like Isabella, who received funding from FLAIS to spend a semester in Marburg, Germany last fall:
I am so grateful for the support I received from The Foreign Language Award for International Study scholarship, which helped make this journey possible. It allowed me to form deep and lifelong connections, see more of the world, experience new cultures and ways of life, and gain a deeper understanding of the German language more authentically than any textbook ever could provide.
Merci! Danke! ありがとう! ¡Gracias
If you have donated to more than one of our crowdfunding projects, you may receive this email twice. As always, thank you for your support!
Wow! As study abroad returns in 2022, we are so excited about the enthusiasm that has been shown toward supporting our World Language and Literatures students. With one week left, we are so close to our push-goal of $7,000.
Please help us reach our push-goal by sharing our project, so we can support more students like Bethany Singleton:
There is something very intense and eye opening when you travel alone and are forced to make connections without anyone else to fall back on. I was the only student from NKU who attended Nanzan that semester, so I was completely and utterly alone. At times that could be very hard for me, but it mostly allowed me to grow as my own person and force me out of my comfort zone to make the amazing friends that I did and have the wonderful experience that I had. Nanzan, Japan, Spring 2020
In less than one week, we have raised over $6,200 for FLAIS! Thank you for supporting study abroad opportunities for World Language and Literatures students!
To provide funding to more students, we are announcing a push-goal of $7,000. Will you share our project with your networks to help us reach our push-goal?
By reaching this goal, we will be able to support study abroad opportunities for more students, like Nahawa Sesay:
Studying abroad enabled me to see a side of me I never thought I had. I was able to go more out of my comfort zone than I had ever done before. University of Caen, France, Summer 2019
