Stego Studio - A Creative Hub for Student Success and Innovative Thinking

Help us keep Stego Studio free for our student makers and innovative thinkers!

In fall 2021, Steely Library opened NKU's first makerspace, Stego Studio, to all currently enrolled NKU students, faculty and staff. Stego Studio provides high-quality prototyping and fabrication equipment supporting project-based learning and research, including state-of-the-art 3D printers, scanners, computer software and a laser cutter/engraver.

Stego Studio is a pressure-free and fun environment where students can translate abstract concepts into real-world understanding, develop critical thinking skills and explore creative solutions to real-life problems with hands-on learning.

We are asking for $2,500 in donor support to keep the makerspace free to use for NKU makers. By eliminating user costs, we can continue to encourage and maximize student participation. Donations directly cover the cost of equipment materials and consumables, removing any financial barriers to use the space.

With your help, our brand-new makerspace will have limitless growth potential. Please consider joining us at one of the funding levels listed in the right-hand sidebar as we celebrate and facilitate a new generation of innovative thinkers and problem solvers at Northern Kentucky University.
