Hello family and friends! As many of you may know, we decided last year to establish a scholarship at NKU for students with financial need in memory of Bob. This scholarship currently covers full tuition for one student.
In honor of Bob's birthday, we want to invite you to celebrate with us by making a gift to support this scholarship.
Although tuition is covered, there are many more expenses that come with a 4-year college degree. By raising an additional $5,000, we can add to this scholarship funds to help cover related expenses like books, labs fees, supplies and housing.
Bob went to NKU on a full scholarship due to his financial need and academic performance. This was the only way he would have been able to achieve his college degree. He was proud of how NKU has developed and grown since he graduated.
Robert B Hengge, “Bob”, grew up in Ft. Thomas, KY. He was married to Deanna for 24 years, father of Robert L., Stefanie, Alexandra and Abigail Hengge. Loving grandfather of Jack, Samuel and Lila Hengge. In the Spring of 2017 Bob was diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia after several years of showing symptoms and many hospital visits for various tests. He was hospitalized late March of 2018 and passed peacefully May 1st, 2018.
He is loved by many friends and family and his memory still lives on. Bob is often remembered for his great sense of humor, always making those around him smile, even on his worst days. Bob enjoyed spending time with his family especially his children and grandchildren.
We are thrilled to offer these scholarships in his name and appreciate everyone else for contributing to funding college education for students that need our support.
